Where’s Your Peace
Jesus is calling for you! He’s calling you. What happened? Where did your mind slip into? You were doing good for a while, then BAMM! Something came to your life that caused you to think all about that and not on the things of Christ (Mark 4:18-19). The enemy was speaking so loud in your ear and mind you couldn’t really hear God like you used to. The relentless attack of negativity got ahold of you and made you sad, hurt, weak, sick, upset, angry, agitated, fearful, and depressed. Does any of this sound like you right now?
Jesus is calling for you!
Come back! Snatch your mind back from more harmful and dangerous thoughts. Think about if you could acquire something that will keep you from getting even more hurt, more depressed, sicker, and further upset would you buy it and take it? What lengths would you go to get this? If a box was delivered to your door that was labeled hurt, pain, sickness, and more depression would you open it because of curiosity? You might say, no way. But do you? Yes, you do. You just have to see what is in that box. You go there anyway. You let your mind go there. You continue to open that “can of worms,” so to speak. Yes, Jesus knows you tried to lay it down and stop, but "IT" still has you. You are still upset.

The Prince of Peace has His hands extended out to you saying,
“What do you want Me to do for you?”
~Jesus
Jesus never left you. His name is still keeping you (John 17:12). You won’t go off the deep end. You aren’t going crazy. You matter. You won’t lose out. “Come, Jesus says, come to Me, you, who are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. I will refresh your life, for I AM your oasis. Simply join your life with mine. Learn My ways and you’ll discover that I AM gentle, humble, easy to please. You will find refreshment and rest in Me,” (Matthew 11:28-30 TPT). Jesus further promises you that what He requires of you will be pleasant and easy to bear. The problems you are experiencing are heavy and burdening you, causing the condition you are in. Those problems did not come from God. But…He will deliver you from them.
Faith is the key. Choosing not to open that can of worms is the action to take to have faith in God. Not letting your heart be troubled and afraid is believing in God and trusting in Him, (John 14:1). Not allowing your mind to continuously go back to those negative thoughts that made you lose your peace is having faith. It produces trust in Jesus. Keep going and build on that faith. If you can do it once, you can do it again. That is what Romans 1:17 says to do, “both springing from faith and leading to faith (disclosed in a way that awakens more faith). As it is written, the just and upright shall live by faith.” That is you! Stop putting yourself down. You have control over your mind and your entire being. You have the mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16). Because you are a believer, you have the God given ability to understand His will and purposes. That means, you understand God wants you delivered and free from your condition. You know trouble doesn’t last always because you are a child of God. Answers are on the way. It will turn around for your good. Take the God way out of your problems. Keep your mind fixed on Him and He will keep you in perfect peace (Isaiah 26:3). Peace is your protection from the wiles of the enemy (Philippians 4:7). Don’t let, stop, and don’t choose to let your heart be troubled any longer. Once you do that, the voice of God will become so clear to you. The Holy Spirit will guide you into all the truth that leads to your deliverance (John 16:13).
Keep hoping. Hope produces faith. Hope is the substance of faith (Hebrews 11:1). Research indicates that hope can help us manage stress and anxiety and cope with adversity. It contributes to our well-being and happiness and motivates positive action. Hopeful people believe they can influence their goals, that their hopeful efforts can have a positive impact on their own lives and those around them. To have hope is to want an outcome that makes your life better in some way. It not only can help make a tough present situation more bearable but also can eventually improve our lives. Envisioning a better future motivates you to take the steps to make it happen. Hope leads to faith. Faith leads to following God’s word and promises. Living on the Word and promises of God leads to a better life. And that, my friend in Christ, makes life worth living.
Thank you, Lord, we love you!
