King David Was Depressed

Did you know King David was depressed? Oh yes he was! He wrote he had sorrow in his soul, he wore mourning garments meant to be worn when someone dies but no one did, he behaved as if he was grieving for a friend, brother, or mother because he was sad and depressed in his soul (Psalm 35 12-14). He kept going to the Lord wanting to know how long will the destruction continue. That means he was mentally exhausted with continuous mental torment. He prayed in desperation for the Lord to rescue him from the life he was experiencing (Psalm 35 17). King David was familiar with depression and adversity so severe that he wanted to run away from everything and everyone and go into the wilderness alone. Does that sound like you?

We can learn from King David's example of how he beat depression. He kept praying to God without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). He knew that the Lord was near and listening. Now that's faith. He didn't let depression tell him that the Lord wasn't there and did not care. He didn't let depression destroy his faith. He prayed against the adversity and didn't just let it win. He did something about it. He spoke against it. He never lost faith. He knew the Lord was fighting for him and on his side. He knew that righteousness would prevail. He knew that the Lord takes pleasure in the prosperity of those that are His. That goes for you too! Don't let depression lie to you anymore. God is on your side, you will overcome depression, you will win against adversity, you will survive this, Jesus will deliver you from sadness, sorrow, and suicidal thoughts. Just stay alive, and don't take your life. Jesus died in your place so you could live!

You belong to Jesus. He is yours, and you are His. It is a love exchange. Keep believing and never give up hope. Your deliverance is here, and His name is Jesus!

Keep Saying What God Says

Have you been sick for a long time? Have you received a diagnosis from the doctor that they say may never heal? What about a medical issue that keeps flaring up? Keep saying what God says and nothing else! Stop saying and repeating your symptoms, how you feel, what it looks like, your dooming outlook, bad reports, and the confusion of what to believe. You are not denying what's happened to you. You are not denying your symptoms and how you feel. You are simply denying them the right to stay in your body! You are changing your circumstance with the word of God instead of letting your circumstance change you!

Here is what God says: It is His will for you to be healed, in divine health, and your body whole. God can't put sickness on you and then heal you. He cannot work against Himself like that. How? A house divided against itself can't stand (Matthew 12:22-28). So, the religious belief that "if it's in His will," is nothing but a lie of doubt in your mouth, heart, and mind. Will you receive anything from God with that strong doubt in your confession (James 1:6-8), no, you won't. Not with that confession. Get rid of that confession and say, Yes! It is in God's will to heal me! Jesus healed so many people in the bible. He didn't go around putting sickness and diseases on people, no He delivered them. He went to the cross and died for your sickness and diseases so you could live free from them (Isaiah 53:3-5).

Keep saying what God says, and never give up. Even if years go by, keep saying what God says. What does that mean, and how do you do that? Only let what comes out of your mouth be the word of God and not what you see or feel. Faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God (coming from your mouth Romans 10:17). Get your confession in line with what God says about your healing. "In Jesus name, I am healed, I am strong, my body is whole, I am who God says I am, I have what God says I have, my body works the way God created it to work, I am delivered form this sickness, I am delivered from this disease." Keep speaking life onto your body until you see the results of your confession. What you say has power (Proverbs 18:21). Don't dig up your faith, prayers, and confession with unbelief and say the contrary. Jesus said in Mark 11:22-24 to SPEAK to your sickness (disease, ailment) and command it to heal (be cast, thrown out) and do not doubt, but believe that what you SAY is going to take place, it will be done for you in accordance with God's will.

Take your place of authority and command that sickness to get out of your body. It's your God-given right to be healed. Divine health belongs to you. Take that faith stand, and boldly speak yourself healed.

We Stand With Israel

Psalms 35

(A Psalm of King David)

Contend, O Lord, with those who contend with me (the Nation of Israel); fight against those who fight against me! Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for my help! Draw out also the spear and javelin and close up the way of those who pursue and persecute me. Say to me, I am your deliverance! Let them be put to shame and dishonor who seek and require my (Israel's) life; let them be turned back and confounded who plan my (Israel's) hurt! Let them be a chaff before the wind, with the Angel of the Lord driving them on!

Let their way be through dark and slippery places, with the Angel of the Lord pursuing and afflicting them.

For without cause they hid for me (Israel) their net; a pit of destruction without cause they dug for my (Israel's) life. Let destruction befall my (the Nation of Israel's) foe unawares; let the net he (the enemy) hid for me catch him; let him (the enemy) fall into that very destruction. Then I (Israel) shall be joyful in the Lord; I shall rejoice in His deliverance. All my bones shall say, Lord, who is like You. You Who deliver the poor and the afflicted (hostages) from him who is too strong for him, yes, the poor and the needy from him who snatches away his goods?

Lord, how long with You look on? Rescue my (Israel's) life from their destructions, my dear and only life from the lions! I will give You thanks in the great assembly; I will praise You among a mighty throng. Let NOT those who are wrongfully my foes rejoice over me; neither let them wink with the eye who hate me without cause. For they do not speak peace, but they devise deceitful matters against those who are quiet in the land.

Let them (the enemy) not say in their hearts, Aha, that is what we wanted! Let them not say, We have swallowed him (Israel) up and utterly destroyed him. Let them be put to shame and confusion together who (the enemy and protesters against Israel) rejoice at my calamity! Let them be clothed with shame and dishonor who magnify and exalt themselves over me! Let those who favor my righteous cause and have pleasure in my uprightness shout for joy and be glad and say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, Who takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servant (the Nation of Israel)! And my tongue shall talk of Your righteousness, rightness, and justice, and of my reasons for Your praise all the day long!
